We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Officer to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Pastry Officer, you will be responsible for crafting an array of exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers’ palates. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality creations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure the timely production of daily pastry offerings while maintaining freshness and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes that align with current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and liaise with the procurement team to ensure a sufficient supply of necessary materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers and team members.
- Provide guidance and training to junior pastry staff, ensuring consistent quality and execution across all pastry items.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a positive team environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a dedication to excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or equivalent role, showcasing a strong portfolio of creative pastry creations.
- Formal culinary education or relevant training in pastry arts is preferred.
- A deep understanding of various baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all aspects of pastry production.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary: KD120.000 per month
